Oneness / Union with Source
Realisation of oneness and the collapse of subject/object distinction.
Verbatim from Transpersonal Diagnostics™: Core Manual, 2025 edition (p. 6)
As described in the Core Manual: "Realisation of oneness and the collapse of subject/object distinction. Characterised by pure being, stillness, and unity (śūnyatā)."
The name preserves the methodology's canonical terminology. Traditions differ in how they understand unity and in whether unity is an aim at all. Attend to the consequences of experience in relationships, conduct and daily life — intensity does not establish truth or developmental rank.
Observable indicators
Explore connection and changes in self-boundaries, alongside sleep, functioning and interpersonal impact.
Language patterns
Use the person's chosen terms for connectedness or unity without requiring agreement with a spiritual worldview.
Somatic markers
No bodily state validates a claim of unity.
Emotional signatures
Feelings of love or expansiveness are not proof of enduring integration.
Interventions
Explore connection in context
Begin with consent and the person's own account. Explore connection and changes in self-boundaries, alongside sleep, functioning and interpersonal impact. Keep territory language tentative. Agree one realistic next step and check whether the conversation remains useful.
Not a validated intervention protocol. Stay within professional competence; pause and refer when safety or functioning is uncertain. Do not induce or intensify altered states.
